Arosa Sounds-Bündner Sounds Rock

At Bündner Sounds Rock, Andreas Lareida and MALENCO perform. They are musically accompanied by Rolf Caflisch on drums, Andi Schnoz on guitar, Rees Coray on bass, and Sören Dokter on keyboards.

Andreas Lareida grew up in Heinzenberg, Graubünden, where he initially learned the violin. He later studied jazz singing at the University of the Arts in Bern, graduating with a Master of Arts in Performance. Since then, he has lived and worked as a freelance musician in Bern. He made his album debut in 2014 with the AGORÀ Ensemble, followed by five more releases as a founding member of the Zurich quintet Ikarus. He tours internationally and on Swiss stages with his group each year. His specialty is his vocal artistry, in which he uses his voice in both vocal-instrumental forms and various styles and genres.

MALENCO is a singer-songwriter who plays roots music. Armed with a guitar, voice, and harmonica, he performs songs at the crossroads of danceable blues, old folk, and dark country. MALENCO presents his songs during his one-man show raw and unrefined, as if chiseled from stone or tanned in leather. His tunes were chosen by SRF in 2019 as the best country sound outside the USA, despite being far removed from the usual Trump-Bush-Nashville sounds.

The troubadour is a unique figure in the music scene, creating hits for the ears and stories for the heart. He is signed to Brambus Records, and his successful album "Berries for the old town" is distributed worldwide by them. MALENCO has been said to write the best songs that are never played on the radio.
