In Robert and Mika's bookstore, the unimaginable happens. The A, L, I, and Os fall like confetti from the books, and soon the first customers are calling who can no longer read their books. Desperately, the two try to piece the words back together in the store. Hopelessly, most of the letters are nowhere to be found.

Mika, the mouse, does not give up and stumbles upon a clue. It leads to a mysterious parrot and a pirate at sea who cannot read. About courage, friendship, and the joy of learning to read
